New York, NY, October 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Hans Dellien, Director of Microfinance, Women’s World Banking, will participate at Golden Networking's Latin America Leaders Forum 2010, "Unlikely Oasis of Growth amid the Global Economic Crisis?" (http://www.LatinAmericaLeadersForum.com), October 21st, New York City. Latin America is no longer the stereotype of populism and economic mismanagement, to which Alan Greenspan devoted an entire chapter in his memories. But it would also be a mistake to argue that the region has entered a smooth path toward development. Many challenges remain, including social tensions, imperfect political systems and structural constrains on economic growth.
Mr. Dellien is the Director of Microfinance Products and Services at Women’s World Banking. He coordinates and delivers technical services to micro finance institutions in Africa (Kenya, Uganda, and Gambia), Asia (Philippines, India, and Pakistan), Middle East (Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia) and Latin America (Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Brazil). His responsibilities also include overseeing the introduction of new credit products (Microenterprise, Rural, and housing). Mr. Dellien provides strategic advice to commercial banks interested in expanding financial services to micro-entrepreneurs and has supported banks in Mexico, China and India. He has been involved in developing several innovation technology projects in Latin America (credit scoring for micro finance and PDA to streamline the lending process). Prior to joining WWB in 1998, Mr. Dellien worked 5 years for the International Project Consultants (IPC) a German consulting firm associated to PRO-CREDIT bank based in Frankfurt. Mr. Dellien has a master degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Finance from the Ohio State University.
Latin America Leaders Forum 2010 is produced by GoldenNetworking.net (http://www.goldennetworking.net), the premier networking community for business executives, entrepreneurs, investors and diplomats, founded by former McKinsey consultant and Columbia Business School MBA Edgar Perez.
