Red Fez Publications Announces Nominations for the Pushcart Prize
Underground authors recently published at Red Fez Publications receive nominations in recognition of their outstanding work. The Pushcart Prize continues to promote the small press.
Toronto, Canada, October 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Red Fez Publications is pleased to announce their nominations for the Pushcart Prize Anthology produced by Pushcart Press.
In a continued effort to promote underground writing, the following writers have been nominated for inclusion in The Pushcart Prize XXXVI:Best of the Small Presses (2012 Edition) for their recent work published in Red Fez Publications— April Michelle Bratten, "Legs"; Paul Corman-Roberts, “Call Me Mister”; Jenni Fagan, "No Stars Pension in Downtown Cairo"; Misti Rainwater-Lites, “America You Can...”; Laura Rheaume, “Midnight Bather” and Samuel Snoek-Brown, "Kamikaze".
Fourty-two stories and eighty-five poems were considered for nomination. All of the entries were published online between October 1, 2009 and September 30, 2010. They can be read in the archives at www.redfez.net.

"The Pushcart Prize - Best of the Small Presses series, published every year since 1976, is the most honored literary project in America. Hundreds of presses and thousands of writers of short stories, poetry and essays have been represented in the pages of our annual collections."
Little magazine and small press editors may make up to six nominations. Nominations for the thirty-sixth volume of the Pushcart Prize are accepted until the December 1 (postmark) deadline.
