Easter Seals South Florida Small Miracle in Miami Luncheon Raised $275,000

Miami, FL, October 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- During a very special hour on August 26 at the University of Miami – Hurricane 100 room, another small miracle happened for Easter Seals South Florida - $275,000 raised.

180 new friends, old friends and community leaders gathered to learn more about Easter Seals impact in Miami. Ricardo, an Easter Seals culinary arts student shared his story as a young man with autism. He explained that after just one year at Easter Seals high school in Miami, he now has many new friends and a new outlook on life. Jonathan, a seven-year old student in Easter Seals autism elementary school, read “Just Bugs”.

A video of three families touched by Easter Seals child development center, culinary arts high school, and adult day services illustrated “small miracles” that Easter Seals helped create for each family.

They invite you to come to a Small Miracles Tour to witness for yourself, the amazing work that happens every day. Small Miracles Tours are every Thursday, 11 am for one hour, includes lunch prepared by their Culinary Arts Students, and information about how Easter Seals is supporting people with disabilities in a changing environment.
