Veteran Suit Drive a Success
Armed Forces Connection suit drive for New Hampshire veterans successful in December, more planned.
Bedford, NH, January 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Armed Forces Connection (AFC), held its First Annual Suit Drive throughout the month of December 2006. Through the generosity of many NH business and citizens, we were able to donate approximately 250 and women’s business suits and professional attire to local veterans and their families.
Recipients are currently residing in transitional housing including Veteran F.I.R.S.T. Homeless Shelter and Liberty House. Other suit drops are scheduled this month. AFC is hoping that these donations will assist veterans and their families who are looking for employment. AFC is committed to providing free to veterans to help highlight their talents and stand out to prospective employers. “The Veterans Suit Drive is just a small step in the process,” stated Shelby Russell, Executive Director of AFC. “It was a great success and AFC is looking forward to organizing this event again this year.” AFC was joined in delivering suits to local shelters by NH Representative, Frank Emiro, and NH Air Force Association President, Louis Emond.
