Atlanta’s Only Girls Natural Hair Salon Educates Parents About Alternatives to Chemical Relaxers
Atlanta’s first natural hair salon for girls, Girls R Groovy Too, makes educating parents a top priority with the new “Natural Wonders Workshop Series.” The Girls R Groovy Too workshops have been designed to save parents from taking extreme measures, such as chemical relaxers, in an effort to make their daughters hair more manageable. The Natural Wonders Workshop Series will teach parents a variety of techniques and styles that they can use at home on their daughters' natural hair.

The new “Natural Wonders Workshop Series” will premier at Girls R Groovy Too, a natural hair care salon for girls. The workshops have been designed to save parents who are struggling to make their daughters' hair more manageable from turning to extreme measures such as chemical relaxers. The Natural Wonders Workshop series will teach parents a variety of techniques and styles that they can use at home on their daughters’ natural hair.
The new Natural Wonders Workshop Series consists of monthly natural hair care workshops for parents. They will be held every third Sunday beginning Sunday, October 17, 2010. The workshops will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Girls R Groovy Too located at 492-B Flat Shoals Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia. The Natural Wonders workshops are conducted by Certified Groove Therapists who provide step by step tutorials of healthy styling and maintenance techniques for girls' natural hair, especially curly and kinky textured hair. Parents are invited to bring their daughters. Girls will be occupied with special activities during the workshops such as mini spa treatments. Co-Owner of Girls R Groovy Too, Etrinda Castle says, “Girls R Groovy Too wants to help parents learn healthy ways to care for their daughters’ hair between salon visits.”
Girls R Groovy Too is a boutique salon located in East Atlanta Village which caters to girls between the ages of 5 and 17 and their parents.
