Atlanta, GA, October 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ICM Insurance, Popkin & Associates, ecycle and EcoShredding are working together to raise money for the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance by holding an electronics recycling and document shredding event on October 23rd. The event is planned for Saturday, October 23rd, from 11:00am to 3:00pm at ICM’s office at 1215 Hightower Trail in Atlanta.
Mark Popkin of Popkin & Associates said, “We wanted to hold an event at our facility where our client and colleagues could have some fun and raise money for charity.” Added Tracy Holzer, COO at ICM Insurance, “We selected ecycle and EcoShredding because they demonstrated their environmentally sound process for processing the collected material. We have to be sure that all environmental regulations and data security regulations are meticulously followed.”
In addition to the proper environmental disposal of equipment, ecycle is focused on proper data destruction. “A data breach can ruin someone’s business or personal life; ecycle destroys the data on every computer and hard drive we collect,” added Brad Mencher, Vice President and co-owner of ecycle.
