Living History Programs Present Those People Lessons for a Bully-Free World Seventh Grade Performance Showcase at Ross Global Academy in New York City
New York, NY, October 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Those People Lessons for a Bully-Free World
Educational Showcase this Friday, Oct. 8 at 11 AM
Because of recent interest and support of efforts to address bullying in schools, Living History Programs will present a showcase presentation this Friday, October 8th at 11am of Those People : Lessons for a Bully-Free World. It will be performed for seventh graders at The Ross Global Academy in NYC. Those People is a unique forty-minute middle or high school assembly program that uses the Holocaust and Hitler's tactics as the ultimate bully machine paradigm. Its cast of two – Anne Pasquale and Keith Herron, creating a variety of roles: director, bullies, and heroes – invite their audience, through rap and step dance, to participate in join-in-re-enactments as perpetrators, victims and rescuers. The audience is allowed to examine and contrast student-relevant real-life racist situations – both now as they occur on school grounds, and as they occurred in Germany in 1937-38. A lively sound track and the art of quick-change sets the scene and keeps the students involved and engaged in this highly volatile and significantly current topic.
Please note this very important event.
The showcase is sponsored by Young Audiences New York (www.yany.com) and will be at:
Ross Global Academy Charter School
420 E. 12th St., entrance on 11th St.
Rm. 508
Friday, October 8, 2010
Those People will be at 11 AM.
