Long Island Poets Ready to Rock the Brownstone Poets in Brooklyn Heights
Brooklyn, NY, October 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Two highly respected Long Island poets, Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan and Doreen Spungin, are ready to rock the Brownstone Poets in Brooklyn Heights on Saturday, November 6 at 2:30 P.M. at the Park Plaza Restaurant. Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan is the appointed Suffolk County Poet Laureate for 2009 – 2011. Doreen Spungin taught children with special needs and now serves her own special needs writing poetry.

Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan, the appointed Suffolk County Poet Laureate for 2009 – 2011, is the founder and president of The North Sea Poetry Scene, Inc. and The North Sea Poetry Scene Press. She was nominated for Pulitzer Prize in 2006 for her book, Let Me Tell You Something. She is listed in Poets & Writers. She is also the editor of Long Island Sounds Anthology, the host of TNSPS’s Arts Forum TV Show on CH. 20 on Cablevision in Riverhead, N.Y. and the Lead Poetry Jurist for the East End Arts Council, Riverhead, N.Y. Her four chapbooks are The Bitter, The Sweet, One Woman's Voice, Let Me Tell You Something and For Michael. Tammy is currently working on her fifth book, Chasing Clouds.
Doreen Spungin, who writes as Dd. Spungin, taught children with special needs in the New York City Schools and now serves her own special needs writing poetry. She has been published in Humanities/Aitia, Asbestos and Brave Hearts, a publication for which she writes a monthly poem. She is involved with the Long Island Poets for Darfur commemorative program anthology. Her poetry will appear in the forthcoming anthologies: Writing Outside The Lines, Long Island Sounds 2010/2011, Toward Forgiveness and Long Island Quarterly. Doreen hosts Poets In Nassau On The Hillside, first Fridays, at The Hillside Library in New Hyde Park, NY.
