Bill the Butcher, Inc. Opens Neighborhood Butcher Shop, its 6th Store, in Bellevue
Seattle, WA, October 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Bill the Butcher, Inc. (OTCBB: BILB), a retailer of organic and natural, grass-fed meats, opened its newest neighborhood butcher shop in downtown Bellevue, WA, bringing the Seattle company’s total butcher shops to six.
The newest store is located on the corner of Main St. and 106 Avenue SE in the building that formerly housed Benjamin Moore Paints. Bill the Butcher sells organic and natural, grass-fed meat (including pasture-raised beef, pork, poultry and lamb) along with complementary items such as barbeque rubs, spices and marinades.
“We’re very different from the traditional butcher shop, because we offer only organic and natural meat that comes fresh from local farms and ranches,” said J’Amy Owens, chief executive officer. “These animals have been raised sustainably, mostly on grass and on small farms, which we believe translates into meat that is healthier for you and the environment.”
The farmers and ranchers supplying meat to Bill the Butcher shops either are certified organic or otherwise follow recognized organic practices, employing strict practices that meet the company’s exact specifications, which include being raised without the use of growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids or genetically modified feed.
Bill the Butcher’s Washington partners include small farms and ranches in Carnation, Arlington, Marysville, Mount Vernon, Lopez Island, Anacortes, Duval, Bow and Spanaway. From time to time, Bill the Butcher supplements its local suppliers with meat from farms that raise animals to our specific standards in Oregon, Montana, and Wyoming.
“Downtown Bellevue was always on our short wish list for Bill the Butcher development,” Owens said. “We feel Bellevue is a perfect fit for our culture, brand and products. With its growing workforce and a resident population that has nearly tripled in the past decade, it was a logical place for our expansion. We are moving into a neighborhood that we believe is already aware of the need, value and benefits of our products and that is extremely exciting.”
The Bellevue shop, which employs six, has plenty of free parking. Bill the Butcher’s Bellevue shop, located at 10600 Main Street, will be open from noon to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
