Defense Logistics Agency Endorses Rochester Electronics for Qualified Suppliers List of Distributors

Newburyport, MA, October 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rochester Electronics, the world’s largest authorized manufacturer and distributor of end-of-life and mature semiconductors, was recently qualified under the provisions of the Qualified Suppliers List of Distributors (QSLD) Program to supply Federal Supply Class (FSC) 5961 semiconductor devices and associated hardware, as well as FSC 5962 microcircuits and electronic devices, for mission-critical applications. Issued by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime, the QSLD certification assures that the commercial practices and quality assurance procedures of DSCC suppliers, including proper handling, level of traceability, and proof of authenticity, are consistent with industry and international quality standards, and that these suppliers are capable of tailoring these procedures to unique DSCC requirements.

The QSDL program verifies and monitors suppliers to ensure they meet industry and DSCC standards, such as properly storing and handling products, as well as providing semiconductor trace documentation.
