Carter Out-Raises Kent by More than Two-to-One

Dallas, TX, October 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In the recent campaign finance reporting period, Texas House District 102 Republican nominee Stefani Carter outraised her Democratic opponent, Carol Kent, by more than two-to-one. Carter has completely erased the early Kent fundraising advantage – topping Kent by more than $18,000 during the campaign.

“For a challenger candidate to so overwhelmingly out-fundraise an incumbent is quite unusual,” said Carter. “We always knew that we have dominated in public opinion polling, but frankly we did not expect also to dominate in fundraising so early. It is very gratifying to have strong support from both the voters and financial supporters. We have worked hard on fundraising. As of this report, we have raised more than all but two challenger candidates in the State and more than most incumbents as well. These are strong indications of a healthy and successful campaign.”
