GoVision's LED Wall Rocks XLV Countdown Event

GoVision's LED display gives attendees spectacular views of NFL legends, Tim McGraw concert at XLV Countdown Live at Cowboys Stadium.

Arlington, TX, October 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- After a year of diligent planning, and following several other momentum-building events, the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee staged its spectacular XLV Countdown Live from Cowboys Stadium on Friday, Sept. 10. A 60’ Daktronics (DAKT- Nasdaq) LED video display, provided by Argyle, TX-based GoVision, served as the main backdrop for the jam-packed evening of entertainment.

With more than 200 stars on hand to speak, sing, play or perform during the evening's festivities, every one of the nearly 37,000 attendees wanted a close-up view of the stage. Corporate Magic (www.corporatemagicinc.com), the official event producer of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee, enlisted the expertise of GoVision to construct and provide the LED centerpiece to do just that.

“Only the lower tier of the stadium was used during the event to provide an intimate feel in the massive venue,” said Chris Curtis, president of GoVision (www.jumbo.tv), one of the nation’s premier suppliers of turnkey mobile LED units and customized modular LED walls. “We were asked to provide the center stage display for the event, and by using 90 panels of our Daktronics PST-12HD inventory, we gave attendees seated at floor level an incredible, full-video experience.”

The two-and-a-half hour event began with internationally acclaimed pianist Van Cliburn, who performed a regal interpretation of the “National Anthem.” The NFL Players Choir followed – featuring 28 retired stars, including local favorites Tim Brown and Rocket Ismail – with a gospel-infused rendition of “America the Beautiful.” It was the first stadium performance for both the orchestra and the choir.

The star-studded night proceeded with NFL Films celebrating 50 years of Cowboys history, accompanied by the 102-piece University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra. Jerry Jones honored Emmitt Smith’s recent induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Cowboys legends Roger Staubach, Darren Woodson, Larry Brown, Tony Dorsett and Charles Haley took turns recounting the five Super Bowl titles won during the club's glory days.

Then, as if to say “you ain’t see nothing yet,” Tim McGraw and his band took the stage and rocked the house with his chart-topping country hits. A dazzling fireworks show punctuated the end of the concert, concluding the evening’s festivities.

GoVision’s LED display served as a centerpiece of the stage throughout the evening, giving attendees dazzling views of the historic Cowboys highlights and serving as a visually engaging backdrop for McGraw’s concert.
