The Resolutions Firm Helps Host Charity Wiffle Ball Tournament for Operation Smile

San Diego, CA, October 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Resolutions Firm helped host a charity Wiffle Ball Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 26 at Kate Sessions Park, in their efforts to help raise money for Operation Smile: Adopt-a-Smile.

The Resolutions Firm started working with Operation Smile after a colleague spent time at an Operation Smile mission site in South America. The company plans to take part in helping fund an entire mission with plans to raise over $2000 by 2011.

Operation Smile provides free surgeries for children to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities that hinder a child’s ability to eat, speak and even smile. In some areas, these children are even shunned by their communities and tormented in school. The reconstructive surgery Operation Smile provides only costs about $240 per child and takes less than an hour.

The wiffle ball was played tournament-style with three player teams. The cost for each team of three was $25 a team or $10 per person. All proceeds went directly to the Operation Smile foundation. This made up one of many fundraising events for the cause.

Members of the firm also attended the 9th Annual Gala for Operations Smile in Los Angeles Sept. 24 and will be doing a charity bowling tournament in November.

The Resolutions Firm has also participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, raising over $1000 for the American Cancer Association. Within the last year, members participated in several events including triathlons for the Alzheimer's Association, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Autism Speaks. They also helped with Habitat for Humanity in Miami and The Therapeutic Association of San Diego. The company plans to continue making its contribution on the community.
