Visions In Education Charter School Celebrates Student Success
Visions In Education Charter School invited 950 of their students to an event which celebrated their academic growth on state-mandated tests.
Sacramento, CA, October 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Visions In Education Charter School invited more than 950 of its students, as part of its Student Success initiative, for a celebratory event, on October 4th. The event was an opportunity to recognize Visions' students who achieved excellence, through high scores or measurable growth, on last spring's state-mandated California Standards Tests (CST). Each invited student received a certificate and a prize; the donations were graciously provided by some of Visions' vendors and community partners.
Michelle Spencer, Administrator for Student Learning: Curriculum & Assessment at Visions, stated, "As part of our success program, which was implemented last year, we were able to garner more than $10,000 in donated prizes to recognize students and to celebrate their academic growth and achievement. We have invited members of local organizations to distribute prizes to the students because we believe it benefits our students to see members of their extended community who value dedication to student learning. We're very excited to bring together students, their families, teachers, and members of the community to formally recognize the good work of our students!"
