Miss Oceanside to Tape Monthly Event Calendar at City Council
Oceanside, CA, October 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lauryn Moses, Miss Oceanside 2010, recently participated in a video to promote the upcoming Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast event that takes place Saturday, Nov. 6. The taping was such a great success that she has been selected to present the monthly calendar of events at Oceanside City Council Chambers. She will tape the first of those calendar updates on Tuesday, Oct. 12. The calendar will be broadcast on KOCT in Oceanside.
Moses, a novice cyclist, recently took a bicycle safety class sponsored by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition (SDCBC) to get ready for the inaugural Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast event.
“I’m really looking forward to participating in Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast,” said Moses, 23, a graduate of Oceanside’s El Camino High School and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles. “Having the opportunity to present the monthly event calendar on KOCT will allow me to further promote this wonderful community event.”
Moses will be riding in Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast in support of the American Cancer Society.
Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast, produced by Event Media, Inc., has partnerships with the Oceanside Bicycle Committee, Main Street Oceanside and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. These groups, along with the Oceanside Visitors Bureau, are bringing together the cycling and business communities in Oceanside to promote bicycling and offer a fun festival at the Oceanside Pier with food, drink, music and fun.
The event, beginning and ending at the Oceanside Pier, offers cyclists of all abilities the choice of four unique courses along the San Luis Rey Bike Trail and the North County beaches. In addition, Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast will feature a comprehensive expo, comprising exhibitor booths, live music area, beer garden, finish line photographs, bike valet and Taste the Coast food booths. Main Street Oceanside (MSO), producers of the very popular weekly Farmers and Sunset Markets, will provide food and music at Taste the Coast.
