Zakiya “Z” Randall joins Glow Sports, a division of Glow Media, for the launch of its inaugural event at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Fla., October 27-31, 2010. The mission of this signature Glow Golf event, “Rethinking Your Possibilities,” is to increase diversity and participation of women playing golf.
“Z is the Next LPGA Star,” said Cheryl Gentry, Chairman and CEO of Glow Media. “She’s a champion on and off the course. She continually participates and gives back to women and girls organizations around the country.”
Randall’s future in golf is incredibly bright. In her first year of playing she won a Championship title and earned the Player-of-the-Year award. With a remarkable track record, Randall has consecutively been in the top 10 on the Women's Professional Golf Tour and continues to be a Champion at youth, charity and celebrity events.
Glow Golf’s launch event will attract female corporate executives and entrepreneurs from across the nation, enabling novice players to learn the fundamentals of golf and allow seasoned players the opportunity to improve their game. In addition, the event will highlight the business and health benefits of playing golf.
The PGA of America will be the host of the Glow Golf’s first event at the PGA Golf Club Resort. “This venture is a major step forward in increasing diversity and in laying the groundwork for women to become engaged in playing golf for years to come,” said Gentry.
