Headpace Design Develops Interactive Trade Show Displays

Headspace Design & Interactive has worked with Advance Commission Company of Canada, located in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, to develop an interactive game for a touch screen booth to set them apart from other real estate companies at such trade shows.

Kennebunkport, ME, October 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- If 100 people were asked to list events or occasions that are fun, real estate trade shows wouldn’t make it on to many lists. A local web design and development company is striving to change this.

Headspace Design & Interactive has worked with Advance Commission Company of Canada, located in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, to develop an interactive game for a touch screen booth to set them apart from other real estate companies at such trade shows.

“Typical trade show booths are all pretty similar—they provide good information, but are often not very exciting or engaging,” says Kyle Racki, principal and design director of Headspace. “When our client approached us looking for help developing a trade show presence, we decided to have some fun with the project and give people a reason to stop by their display.”

The set up is simple—an HP touch screen hooked up to a laptop—but the element of adding a game to the traditional trade show display will not only help draw in potential clients, it will also retain visitors’ contact information in a database, making it easy for Advance Commission to follow up after the show.

Players “build” a house on the screens using $50.00 bills, and their time is recorded. The object of the game is to build the money house in the shortest amount of time. Visitors’ times are recorded with the 10 fastest times displayed. Between games, information about Advance Commission’s services loops on the screens.

“We’re looking forward to bringing the game to shows this fall,” says Dora Dorman, director of customer service with Advance Commission. “It’s something a little more fun and interactive than the norm and it enables us to engage more with potential customers who stop by our booth.”

“We try to employ this type of creative thinking with all our clients,” adds Racki. “There is no reason for a company to offer an experience to their customers that’s boring or dull. Why not try to make it fun and engaging? At the very least, they’ll remember you for it.”

Advance Commission enables real estate agents and brokers to obtain their commission on home sales prior to closing in a more efficient and cost-conscious manner. They service real estate agents and brokers across the country and are recognized as Canada’s premier online advanced commission company.
