Ashburn, VA, October 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The IJIS Institute, a nonprofit organization that focuses on mission-critical information sharing for justice, public safety, and homeland security, announces the appointment of Joan DeYoung, project manager for ATS Corporation (ATSC), as chairperson of the IJIS Institute’s Outreach and Membership Committee.
The purpose of the IJIS Institute’s Outreach and Membership Committee is to identify strategies for expanding the membership of the Institute and to recommend ways and means of increasing the Institute’s value to its members. “I am honored to have been appointed to this leadership role at the IJIS Institute, an organization with a valuable goal to improve mission-critical information sharing systems that help to protect and serve our communities,” said DeYoung. “I am looking to continue the great work of my predecessors and will strive to increase the Institute’s value and expand its membership.”
Joan DeYoung has over 20 years of experience providing systems solutions as an engineer, business analyst, and project manager in support of defense, justice, public safety, and law enforcement organizations at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as for other public and private sector enterprises.
