Magnifique: The Culinary Institute of America’s 2010 Senior Class Hosts Moulin Rouge-Themed Benefit Dinner for Clearwater

Hyde Park, NY, October 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Decadent fun for a great cause is the name of the game on November 6, 2010. Succulent food, music by the Big Band Sound, and a silent auction are highlights of an extraordinary evening hosted by seniors at The Culinary Institute of America on Route 9 in Hyde Park.

“Magnifique” A Night at Moulin Rouge is completely organized and executed by students as a project for their Restaurant Operations class. They have decided to donate proceeds to The Culinary Institute of America’s Scholarship Fund and the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, a non-profit group dedicated to cleaning up our river.

Two spectacular on-campus locations will provide the atmosphere for this event which begins at 6:15 pm. During a cocktail hour in the Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici, guests can bid on culinary items such as aged rum, and non-food related items such as sailing lessons, in a silent auction. The festivities then move to the grandeur of Farquharson Hall where a four-course French-inspired dinner will be served, including wine pairings and a cheese course. After dinner, music and dancing continue until 11:30 pm. A prize will also be awarded to the man and woman with the best ensembles, so dress to impress. The cost is $80 per person with tax and gratuity included.
