Onmii Board Jewelry Organizer is Available in the United States Through Akel Ventures
Onmii has accessories lovers buzzing. The Onmii Board and Flowerbutton began when a frustrated Gry Wigre could not sort through her jewelry box, which had become an entangled mess of necklaces and unmatched earrings. With the help of industrial designer Johan Verde, the duo created a patented jewelry organization system. Onmii has partnered with Akel to make their products avaialble in the United States.
Jacksonvville, FL, October 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Onmii Board offers a superior design that organizes jewelry in a fun and functional way that is as beautiful as it is practical.
Onmii Products’ Onmii Board jewelry organizer combines beauty and function in a refreshing way. And you can now find it in the U.S., at the Onmii Shop, www.onmiishop.com.
Finding a lost earring before a dinner out, rummaging through intertwined chains and bracelets, it’s a common problem for women everywhere, but finding an eye catching solution is even more frustrating. Onmii offers a beautiful solution to the problem of tangled jewelry and cluttered jewelry boxes.
Designed by celebrated Norwegian designer Johan Verde, Onmii allows women to display all of their jewelry at once with a design that’s functional and pretty. Onmii consists of an acrylic, rectangular board with 211 holes in a pattern that evokes a Chinese Checkers board. Pretty little Onmii Flowerbuttons in the shape of orchids fit into the holes and hold jewelry in place. The Onmii board can be applied to the wall vertically or horizontally. Using the Onmii Stick, the smaller square board can be used as a table model. The idea is completely inspired in both its applicability and simplicity.
“Few designs can boast about being functional and beautiful, sturdy yet delicate. Onmii is all of these things,” said Gry Wigre, Onmii’s founder and CEO.
The design has caught the eyes of women everywhere, but it has also piqued the interest of some notable designers. Recently, the Onmii Board received a Red Dot Design Award 2010 honorable mention, an award given to products that have convinced an international expert jury of their quality.
The design is undoubtedly feminine yet with contemporary lines. The most compelling aspect of Onmii’s design is the Onmii Flowerbutton. The Onmii Flowerbutton is an essential part of the design for its ability to offer unlimited possibilities in arranging jewelry. Hang necklaces over the orchid’s stem and the petals will hold them in place. Each leaf has a hole that holds both pierced or clip earrings. Each petal also has a hole that can hold earrings. One ring can be inserted into the center of the orchid, as well. With so many possible configurations, the user can store a few pieces or as many as they like.
Whether it’s organizing a few select pieces or an entire jewelry box the Onmii Board can make an elegant statement.
