Bella’s Cookies Debuts New All Natural & Organic Cookie, the "Woo-Woo."
Bella’s Cookies, Delaware’s 1st all natural and organic cookie company, releases to its signature cookie collection this week, the “Woo-Woo.” This all natural and organic white chocolate cherry cookie also showcases on its tag a new logo from the Delaware Department of Agriculture.
Milton, DE, January 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Bella's Cookies of Milton released a new cookie to its Signature Cookie lineup this week, the "Woo-Woo." Bella’s new offering is also the first to showcase a new marketing logo available to Delaware food/beverage manufacturers from the Delaware Department of Agriculture. The new logo is an extension of the Department of Agriculture's current "Grown Fresh with Care" program, introduced last June by DDA Secretary Michael Scuse and Governor Ruth Ann Minner.
Recognizing the success of other states’ branding programs, the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s marketing team created the new logo as part of a new marketing campaign, designed to promote and increase the consumption of Delaware agricultural products. The logo also helps consumers immediately identify quality Delaware agricultural products in stores, at farmers markets and on-the farm markets. The DDA plans to provide the new logo to any retailer that sells Delaware products, including roadside stands and farmers’ markets.
True to its naming cookie creations with uniquely, catchy titles (Appledoodle, Choco-Bomb, Hunky Punky), Bella’s Cookies introduced this week a brand new all natural and organic cookie creation called, the “Woo-Woo.” What’s a “Woo-Woo?” “It’s a blond baked, white chocolate cherry cookie, and it’s named after its smooth & mellow tartness,” said Mark Leishear (Director of Sales & Marketing for Bella’s Cookies). The “Woo-Woo” is sold as a double pack, with 2 – 3 oz. cookies wrapped in a recyclable crystal bag and tied with a colorful red & white cookie tag on which the new logo from the Department of Agriculture can be seen. “My personal favorite cookie is the Rumazin,” said DDA Sec. Michael Scuse. “However, the Woo-Woo sounds delicious.”
Double packs of the "Woo-Woo” retail for $4, and are found at a variety of retailers; a complete listing can be found under the “Where to Find” section at www.BellasCookies.com. Bella’s is conducting tastings of their new cookie at select retailers during the month of January. On each new Signature Cookie, the picture on the cookie tag makes a visual connection to a written story about that specific cookie. The legend of the “Great Woo" is about a white dragon, wild white chocolate, crisp January afternoons, and cookies. Each story is listed on Bella’s website & available for printing. "When I test a story with Bella & Liam, I always set the scene first. If I can convey a sense of scenery with them before I read it, I can really get them into the story," said Leishear, “and I know they approve of the tale if there’s no feedback.”
With the Chinese New Year right around the corner, 2007 is the "Year of the Woo" at Bella's Cookies. The "Woo-Woo" is their new white chocolate cherry cookie, and proudly shows off a new "look for" logo from the Delaware Department of Agriculture. "Made Fresh with Care in Delaware" proudly identifies locally made products. "Buying local, aside from its relationship to the organic food movement, is something people look for across Delmarva. The people who live here are extremely supportive of each other & it makes an easy identifier for them to locate those products." Bella's will place the DDA logo on all future tags of new cookies; up next is a new vegan cookie and a special all natural and organic Whoopie Pie.
Bella's Cookies is Delaware's first all natural and organic cookie company, specializing in the aforementioned as well as vegan and holiday cookies. Cookies are available at a variety of retail locations, online at www.BellasCookies.com, or by calling 302-684-8152.
