Relocation Management Company Short Listed for Business of the Year
HCR Group has been shortlisted for Business of the Year and Sustainable Business of the year at the 2010 INSPIRE Awards.
Basingstoke, United Kingdom, October 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Since 2005 the INSPIRE awards have celebrated the successes of local businesses across North Hampshire. Five years on, the 2010 awards not only received the highest number of nominations since the awards were launched, but also the highest standard of entries ever received.
Out of 300 companies nominated, HCR, the UK’s largest independent relocation specialist and leading provider of rental accommodation for professionals and their families have been short listed for two categories: -
Business of the year
Sustainable Business of the year
The Business of the year award recognises businesses that demonstrate all-round achievement, a clear vision for the future, success against objectives, sustained growth and those who are a standard bearer for success in Basingstoke and North Hampshire. Over the last year, HCR has continued to build a balanced portfolio of clients and income streams to spread risk and increase opportunity across a wide range of markets. In another exceptional year, the employee relocation and property related services group posted record results with increased turnover by 8% to £5.5 million and PBT increased by 23% to £1.39 million. HCR Group Turnover was up 9% providing a healthy 16.6% return on sales.
HCR has also been short listed alongside Sainsburys for Sustainable Business of the year - an award which recognises businesses contribution to the community and commitment to environmental protection.
This shortlist comes as a result of the hard work that has been implemented as part of HCR’s comprehensive Carbon Action plan, which has already witnessed a reduction in business miles by over 50,000 per annum and the introduction of the Sustainable Relocation tree planting campaign in a bid to counter the impact of their client’s relocations.
Felicity Edwards, managing director of Destination Basingstoke, which is organising the awards, commented: “the quality of nominations was so exceptional that the judges struggled to eliminate any, making the selection of the top three very difficult indeed. We are confident that the short listed businesses are all very strong candidates and should be very proud of their achievements – congratulations to them all.”
The winners will be revealed at a gala dinner taking place on Thursday 18th November. HCR have also been short listed for three (FEM) Forum of Expatriate Management EMMA awards due to be announced on Monday 15th November.
