These açaí products are now available in two frozen forms: Açaí Pure - with no additives or artificial ingredients, and citric acid as the only preservative; as well as Açaí Energy - slightly sweetened with a touch of Guaraná syrup.

According to Amafruits, their açaí is handpicked from wild-grown açaí palms in the Amazon River basin in the state of Pará. The açaí palm produces clusters of dark purple açaí berries, which are then harvested, washed, processed to remove the large seed, and gently flash-pasteurized. This process takes place within 24 hours of the harvest in order to ensure that the immense nutritional value and flavor of the berry are preserved.

Along with açaí berries’ exceptional and well-known nutritional benefits, Amafruits açaí berries are helping play a part in preserving the rainforest. Demand for açaí berries gives local farmers a greater incentive to preserve the açaí palm for its fruit rather than clear-cutting rainforest to grow soy or raise cattle.
