JCS Technologies Adds Calendar Functions to E-Mail with Release 4 of the Collaboration Addin for Microsoft® Outlook®
Moderators can add calendar information to e-mails in the form of text and an iCalendar file, automating calendar entries for participants.
Apollo Beach, FL, January 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- JCS Technologies, Inc., application developer for the audio conference and web collaboration industry, today announced e-mail calendar enhancements to the Collaboration Addin for Microsoft Outlook.
The Collaboration Addin provides an off the shelf solution for Conference Service Providers looking for a method to quickly, easily, and cost effectively increase referral sales, improve their market visibility and provide added value to their customers. The Addin integrates into Outlook’s E-mail and Meeting Appointment forms providing moderators the ability to schedule a conference as easily as they schedule a meeting. The resulting E-mail or Appointment is CSP branded. With this tool, CSPs create an effective sales channel through their customers.
Release 4 expands the capabilities of e-mail to include the benefits of the Appointment/Meeting functionality. Now moderators can enter conference schedule information onto a schedule form in an e-mail. This information is added to the text of the email and attached as an iCalendar file. Recipients of the email can manually add the conference schedule information to their calendar or they can open the iCalendar file and process the information as a meeting invitation. This provides support for recipients with automated calendar functions while also providing the schedule information as text to recipients that do not have automated calendars.
JCS provides CSPs with the Collaboration Addin software, a Customization Toolkit, and a Support License. Using the Toolkit the CSP can easily customize the Addin with their product names, website links, access data, and logo. The Addin can be installed on an unlimited number of machines during the Support Period.
