Village Fertility Pharmacy Hosts Two Fertility Authors at ASRM Event
Waltham, MA, October 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Kristen Magnacca and Dr. Alice Domar will sign complimentary copies of their books on Oct. 25.
Village Fertility Pharmacy (www.villagefertilitypharmacy.com), a specialty pharmacy focused exclusively on infertility medications, will host book signings with two authors at their booth at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s 66th Annual Meeting at the Colorado Convention Center on Monday, Oct. 25.
Fertility book authors Alice “Ali” D. Domar, Ph.D., author of “Be Happy Without Being Perfect” and founder of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health, and Kristen Magnacca, author of “Love and Infertility,” will visit with attendees at the Village Fertility Pharmacy booth, number 411. Complimentary books and CDs will be available while supplies last.
“We’re pleased to have these two authors joining us again this year,” said Stuart Levine, pharmacist at and co-founder of Village Fertility Pharmacy. “Kristen has the unique ability to speak to fertility patients on their level by sharing her own experiences with infertility, whereas Dr. Domar takes a more scientific approach that is fueled by compassion. They both offer different perspectives and we chose to highlight their books because fertility patients and medical professionals are continually praising their work.”
Magnacca will be conducting book signings at the booth on Monday, Oct. 25 from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. As a motivational speaker and an author of infertility books including “Girlfriend to Girlfriend: A Fertility Companion,” she is known to be an adviser, supporter and friend to women who struggle with infertility. Her latest book, “Love and Infertility: Strategies for Survival – Balancing Infertility, Marriage, and Life,” was honored with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association’s national, inaugural Hope Award for Best Book in the “Coping” category.
Domar will be signing books at the Village Fertility Pharmacy booth on Monday, Oct. 25 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. As the executive director of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health and the director of Mind/Body Services at Boston IVF, she is internationally recognized in the field of health psychology, focusing on the effects of mind/body medicine on both men and women’s health. Domar has pioneered new programs to help women manage physical and psychological symptoms associated with their health problems. She is an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School, and a senior staff psychologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
The American Society for Reproductive Medicine was founded in 1944 and is an organization of more than 8,000 physicians, researchers, nurses, technicians and other professionals dedicated to advancing knowledge and expertise in reproductive biology. The ASRM Annual Meeting will take place from Oct. 23 to 27 this year. For information, visit www.asrm.org.
