The Hyde Park Village Art Fair celebrates its 21st anniversary on October 30 - 31, 2010, as Hyde Park Village is transformed into a first-class outdoor art gallery complete with 150 artists and $15 million in artwork available for sale. The artistic media represented include paintings, sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, and ceramics with prices ranging from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. Admission is free and open to the public.
“This is a fabulous opportunity for festival goers to discover quality original works of art by top national and local artists as well as new and emerging talent in one location,” says festival promoter Howard Alan.
This two-day event brings together an eclectic mix of the nation’s most talented artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America.
Howard Alan Events stipulates that all artists are required to be on-site for the entire duration of the show. Artists and their professional white-tented display booths will be located along the tree-lined streets of this trendy downtown Tampa area with its brick courtyards and fountains, a perfect backdrop for this fine arts festival. Festival goers will have the opportunity to meet the artists who are available to discuss their art and inspiration.
The 21st Annual Hyde Park Village Art Fair makes the arts accessible to a broad audience. The event appeals to family and friends as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. Howard Alan comments, “Art is a tangible investment that you can enjoy while it appreciates in value and at the same time take part in supporting the arts.”
