Thrill the World Los Angeles to Hold "Thriller" Dance Record Breaking Attempt

Thrill the World Los Angeles (TTWLA) will be holding its third annual “Thrill Day” event on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010, and take part in a worldwide record breaking attempt with Thrill the World.

Los Angeles, CA, October 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The event will take place at Fairplex in Pomona, located at 1101 W. McKinley Ave, Pomona, CA 91768, from 12:00PM to 5:30PM PST. The record breaking Thriller Dance Attempt will occur at 4:00 PM sharp. During the event there will be various activities for family and kids, live entertainment provided by DJ Cameron and James Andre Jefferson Jr. from KIIS FM, raffle prizes for participants, food and other various vendors, a special performance from well known Michael Jackson impersonator Michael Kiss and discounted entrance tickets to “Nightmare at Scareview Farms”, the famous haunted attraction located at Fairplex.

Thrill The World is an annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” learned by thousands of people around the world who perform it together on the same day at the same time for charity.

Thrill the World Los Angeles (TTWLA) is not a professional entertainment group, but a unique team of fun-loving volunteers from all walks of life who take part in an annual worldwide simultaneous Thriller dance for world records and charity.

In 2009, over 2,000 zombies rocked L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. Together, TTWLA also raised over $5,300 for Inner-City Arts, a learning oasis in the heart of Los Angeles’ Skid Row. Thrill Day 2009 was featured through: Entertainment Tonight, E! Online, ABC7, NBC4, Fox11, Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Downtown News, LA Weekly and many more.

This year, the dancing zombies from Thrill the World Los Angeles will perform the Thriller dance in full zombie garb in this worldwide attempt to break the World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Dance in multiple locations. Funds raised will go to The Learning Centers at Fairplex, to support educational programs that range from helping infants to teaching seniors, in an effort to provide “a lifetime of learning cleverly disguised as fun.” Additionally, TTWLA will be donating children’s books to the Fairplex’S Child Development Center and will be accepting book donations from anyone willing to donate a book at the event.

This event is organized by Veteran Zombies: Ahrha Ko, Elena Manzanares, Gilbert Aquino, Mark Calub, Monica Garay, Tonay Queen, and Tony Velasco.
