Allscripts Named Among Top 5 Best Places to Work

Healthcare IT Provider Scores Well on Triangle Business Journal’s 2010 Best Places to Work List

Raleigh, NC, October 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Allscripts (www.allscripts.com), a leading provider of innovative software for healthcare organizations and physicians, was ranked among the top five companies in the Triangle Business Journal’s 2010 “Best Places to Work” list. Each of the companies considered for the annual award was first nominated by an area business leader. Employees of the nominated companies then completed an anonymous survey of questions about the organization’s culture and the quality of job benefits. Winners were chosen based on an employee survey process conducted by Quantum Market Research and were honored in a special section appearing in the Sept. 24th print edition of Triangle Business Journal, which recognized the top 12 ranked businesses in each of four size categories: small, mid-size, large and giant. Allscripts placed in the giant category, which includes businesses with 1,000 or more employees.

Allscripts is one of the largest companies focused exclusively on healthcare information technology, with $1.2 billion in 2009 revenue and 5,500 employees worldwide, including over 1,000 in the Triangle Area. Allscripts clinical, financial, analytics and connectivity solutions are used by more than 180,000 physicians, 1,500 hospitals and 10,000 post-acute organizations – the largest network in healthcare. Allscripts was ranked No. 22 on Fortune magazine’s 2010 list of the world’s “100 Fastest-Growing Companies.”
