Frank Ciaccio Joins Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP as Partner
New York, NY, October 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP has announced that Mr. Franklin (Frank) Ciaccio joined the firm as partner effective August 16, 2010. Mr. Ciaccio will work from Carter Ledyard's Wall Street office and continue his practice in the litigation department.

Mr. Ciaccio’s practice includes financial restructuring; indentured securities in default and insolvency cases; investment company and investment advisory representation; as well as transactional insurance litigation. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions, indenture trustees, insurance companies and broker-dealers in a variety of litigation and corporate transactional matters.
In addition to the above, Mr. Ciaccio is currently a member of several professional associations. These include membership in the American Bar Association, Business Bankruptcy and Corporate Governance Committees, and the New York City Bar Association. He is a former Chairman of the Committee on Developments in Business Financing of the ABA Business Law Section, a past member of the City Bar Association Insurance Law Committee and a former member of the American College of Investment Counsel.
Mr. Ciaccio joined Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP from King & Spalding LLP. Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Ciaccio was Vice President and General Counsel, Financial Services, of The Continental Corporation, the holding company for the Continental Insurance Companies worldwide. He previously served as Associate General Counsel of New York Life Insurance Company, with legal responsibility for private placement investments, financial restructuring and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Ciaccio earned his B.A. from Bowdoin College and J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
