Stephen Marino Helps Build Contributions for Non-Profit Organizations
Coaching for a Cause uses business coaching principles to help charities raise funds.
Las Vegas, NV, October 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In his position as an ActionCOACH Master Licensee, Stephen Marino already goes the extra mile to bring wealth and abundance to the greater Dallas area, but when ActionCOACH began the Coaching for a Cause Program last year, Marino immediately jumped at the chance to help those less fortunate.
Coaching for a Cause is a far-reaching, global pro-bono coaching program that helps non-profits and charities from all walks of life increase their top-level goals and better manage their funds through a simple pledge system. The program is designed to bring the proven and systemized business building methodology ActionCOACH uses to help for-profit business owners to non-profit entities.
Last year, the first for Coaching for a Cause, was incredibly successful as ActionCOACH helped raise almost $3 million world- wide. This year the goal is even higher as more coaches and more charities enter the program.
With the holiday season fast approaching, Coaching for a Cause is a great way for the ActionCOACH community to give back to those less fortunate.
Marino will be working with two local charities this year. The first is the Duncanville Outreach, which he worked with last year to bring in thousands of dollars to their coffers. The second is the Essilor Vision Foundation.
Duncanville Outreach does important work in the community, helping the less fortunate with such necessities as food, transportation, utilities and shelter. With a difficult economy, Duncanville Outreach saw a contraction in contributions over the last couple of years.
The efforts of Marino helped to offset any losses and, in fact, expand contributions last year. The most important change instituted by Marino was the systemized approach Duncanville Outreach took with its thrift stores, by which they were able to increase sales through new retail practices.
Marino will also be working with the Essilor Vision Foundation, a program that is near to his heart. This program goes into local elementary schools to give eye exams and solutions to eye problems for students.
“Studies have found that one of the greatest indicators as to how well a child will do in school is their vision. If you can’t see, you can’t learn. This program is a preemptive way to combat the education problem in America,” Marino said recently.
The program started in the Dallas Independent School District before expanding into Ft. Worth. Over the next year, the program hopes to make inroads in Plano, Garland and Richardson school districts as well. Marino hopes to raise a total of $300,000 for the Vision for Kids Program.
