New author, Marlene Sanchez, releases her first novel.

Accidents Happen takes place in Miami/Miami Beach, Florida. Martina Rosequete isn’t a cop anymore, but when her best friend’s death is ruled a suicide, Marti’s cop instincts tell her it wasn’t an accident. Her investigation into Jen’s death leads Marti to a string of accidents that aren’t.
In the seedy underworld of Miami, run by the notorious Pascual crime family, Marti put’s her life on the line to find the truth. There is only one man she can trust, her neighbor, friend with benefits Eddie. But when Eddie starts buying things he shouldn’t be able to afford on a cop’s salary, Marti begins to wonder if she can really trust him or anyone. Nothing is ever as it seems when Accidents Happen.
Born in Manhattan, New York, and raised in Miami, Florida, Marlene Sanchez has held a passion for writing since she was fifteen. Her dream has been realized in the publication of her first novel “Accidents Happen.” She now lives in Montgomery, Alabama with her husband of three years and children, where she is currently working on book 2 in the series titled “Boiling Point” and “Waves of Deceit,” the first in her “Waves” series which will release from Classy Scribe Publications in May 2011. Marlene has published articles in several newspapers including the Millbrook Independent. Local book signings will be announced soon.
