iCohere Wins Contract to Support U.S. Forest Service 2010 Sustainable Operations Summit with Virtual Conference Extension

Washington, DC, October 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- iCohere, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Forest Service to provide virtual conference support services for the Forest Service’s 2010 Sustainable Operations Summit. This is the second consecutive year that iCohere has been selected to support this hybrid conference event. The face-to-face meeting will be located at the Southern Region (R8) and Southern Research Station (SRS) in Atlanta, GA.

The objectives of the conference are to highlight sustainable operations; provide new tools and information; explore cutting edge sustainability science and ideas; and to model green practices.

Last year, some 200 Forest Service personnel were on site in Portland, Oregon for the Sustainable Operations Summit, while hundreds of USFS personnel attended remotely from forest regions nationwide. User feedback scored the virtual conference format an average of 8.5 out of 10.

This year, remote attendance may surpass last year, due to travel and budget restrictions.

Virtual Forest Service conference participants will be able to:

View all the live presentations from the Atlanta meeting, including plenaries and three tracks of concurrent breakout sessions;
Take part in discussions and interactive chats on conference topics of interest; and
Upload videos and presentations to add value to the conference learning experience.
