Bangalore, India, October 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Molecular connections, an Indian Life Sciences Informatics Company, today launched its knowledgebase XTractor Lite that has more than 13 million categorized relationships derived from text mining PubMed abstracts.
Researchers worldwide face problems like enormous amount of published information, Lack of common usage of annotation standards in biomedical publications, No clarity in terms of classification of abstracts to name a few.
Quite often narrowing down searches to the relevant abstracts is not possible due to non-synchronous biomedical annotation, rigid data structure and more time spent resulting in higher cost.
Addressing the above issues, scientists at Molecular Connections designed a novel platform “XTractor Lite” which has a simple search window to search for biomedical entities of interest. One gets access to a vast collection of pre indexed annotated relationships from literature with Link out reports to multiple public data sources. Relevant Facts extraction from abstracts, refine the search results based on predefined categories, associations and year of publication.
XTractor Lite Platform provides Graphical views to quickly sort the content. The facts and relationships are categorized on the basis of Proteins, Diseases, Processes and Drugs for ease of sorting. Easy navigation to navigate across any entity (Protein, Diseases, Process and Drug) and Quick year wise navigation over relationships are few ways to navigate across relationships.
