Kellstadt Marketing Group and DePaul Net Impact to Co-Host Cause Marketing Event on Nov. 5

The Kellstadt Marketing Group (KMG), a graduate student marketing organization at DePaul University, in conjunction with DePaul Net Impact (DNI), a chapter of the Net Impact global organization dedicated to socially responsible business causes, will host “Thinking Outside the Donation Box: Cause Marketing in a Connected Society.”

Chicago, IL, October 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The event will feature Communications Strategist and Author Brian Reich, and Brandtrust Senior Consultant Kristian Aloma. Reich and Aloma plan to discuss traditional cause marketing and social responsibility. At 6 p.m., the two speakers will provide an overview and fresh perspective on the topic of cause marketing. Reich will wrap up the presentation with an audience question and answer session, followed by a short break. At 7:15 p.m., attendees will be divided into two break out groups for highly interactive discussions on solving social issues through cause marketing. Break out sessions will be recorded and serve as research for the book,“Shift & Resent: How Organizations Need to Re-Think Serious Issues in the Digital Age,” which is being written by Reich.

Reich, who most recently became the digital media strategist for TLC’s new show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” made his first appearance on DePaul’s campus at a KMG hosted event in 2008 when he spoke about viral marketing and social media. Aloma, an expert on consumer motivation and the affect of media, will make his first DePaul appearance.

The event is open to the public. The cost is $10 for KMG and DNI members and $25 for non-members. To register, visit KMG’s web site at www.kellstadtmarketing.com.

This event will take place on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at DePaul Center, 1 E. Jackson, in the 11th floor DePaul Club.
