Interactive How-to Social Media Workshop for Nonprofits

Des Plaines, IL, October 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago (TVC) will be hosting an interactive “How-To Social Media for Nonprofits” Workshop on November 9th. With a focus on Facebook and Twitter, the workshop will introduce nonprofit professionals to the tools and resources available to build awareness and advocate for your organization online. Through information, research and insight the workshop will help participants decide what channels are likely to be the most effective based on the organization’s goals, audience, staff time, and what is already in place. The workshop will also explore the various methods for listening to conversations and measuring the return on your investment. Anthony Hoell, Digital Communications Coordinator at The Volunteer Center will be presenting. The workshop takes place at the Des Plaines Library computer lab, 1501 Ellinwood St, Des Plaines, IL from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This workshop will be $30 for TVC members (Note: Members may use one of their two complimentary workshops for this event) and $60 for non-members.
