Culinary Students Are Rewarded in Cook-Off Competition
Winning Recipes to be Sampled at Winterfest White Party.
Fort Lauderdale, FL, October 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Culinary students in The International Culinary School at The Art institute of Fort Lauderdale recently competed to have their tasty creations served at the Gray Robinson, P.A. Winterfest White Party, Friday, November 5, Harbor Beach Marriott.
The challengers also competed for prizes awarded by Butterball, Perrier, Lindt Chocolate and Crunch master Crackers.
The winners in each category were awarded $500 and the overall Best in Show winner received an additional $1,000. The winners were:
Jessica Cuetoz, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Tapas and Appetizers and Best in Show
Gustavo Taylhardat, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Dessert
Felipe Caceres, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Spa Cuisine
Rory Mapp, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Baking and Cooking
“It is a rarity to have a Master Chef and Master Chocolatier together,” said Kathy Keleher, Marketing and Parade Director of Winterfest. “To interact and discuss culinary skills with this year’s judges must have been a wonderful life experience for these young professionals, Winterfest and our sponsors are proud to have been a part of it.”
