In addition to his military service, Johnson has worked for several large defense contractors in the San Diego area. He is the Past President of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), San Diego Chapter and will be serving the military community in 2011 in his new position as President of the San Diego Fleet Week Foundation.
