Discover Thai Yoga Massage in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit
Destination:PEACE welcomes Hillary Olsen Hilliard with Textured Motion.
Chicago, IL, October 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Thai Yoga Massage, it’s In – and Destination:PEACE is bringing it to Mexico as part of the newest trend in travel, Voluntourism. Now taking reservations for its December 2010 Volunteer Vacation, Destination:PEACE creates a one-of-a-kind vacation experience. Guests embark on a journey of Thai Yoga Massage sessions, soak up the sun on the beautiful beaches of Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, and give back to the local community with volunteer opportunities.
As part of bringing a community together, Destination:PEACE is opening the Thai Yoga Massage workshop to the public, you’re invited. The workshop will be held on December 12, 13 and 14th in the morning hours. “I wanted to share this healing experience with the community and open up the doors of opportunity for everyone who would like to engage in the body bliss,” says Katherine Fisher, Founder of Destination:PEACE.
Destination:PEACE welcomes Hillary Hilliard, Founder and Owner of Textured Motion out of Denver, CO as lead instructor for the workshop. Hillary is one of the first practitioners in Colorado to practice and promote the healing arts of Thai Massage and Thai Herbal Compresses. With extensive training in Chiang Mai, Thailand, she draws from the northern, central and southern styles. The Thai massage hours during the vacation can count as credits through both NCBTMB and THAI as well as Yoga Alliance.
Thai Yoga Massage incorporates assisted, progressive, yoga-like stretching and acupressure (pressure points along the Sen Sib lines, the meridian lines), reflexology, and aromatherapy via the steamed warmed Thai Herbal Compresses. In this form of bodywork, usually performed on the floor; practitioners hold yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy lines and pressure points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.
A portion of the proceeds will be given to PEACE Mexico, a local non-profit that works hand-in-hand with communities in Mexico to provide holistic education combined with community action programs that enable people to improve their quality of life, as well as, their financial stability.
The workshop includes hands-on Thai Yoga instruction, Thai herbal compresses, a light lunch and tea. Cost for all 3 days is 3500 pesos or $300 USD (1300 pesos / day or $120 USD / day.)
