Simple Stories to Enrich and Inspire Fill Jams Jems, Published by Outskirts Press
DeRidder, LA, October 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press, Inc. has published Jams Jems by Jo Ann Mills. The author's most recent book to date is a 5.5 x 8.5 paperback in the self-help category and is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/jamsjems was launched simultaneously with the book's publication.
Jams Jems is a book of stories that have been a part of the author’s experiences -- experiences purposely written to take readers away from the world of digital imagery and into thought to lift spirits.
Readers can let their minds roll with “Marbles;” then go for an imaginary ride on a Shetland Pony named “Dottie;” fall in love with “Brownie;” and meet a “Gracious Giver.” These are not stories at all, but memories that are worthy to be shared. From the introduction to the closing remarks, readers will find that all experiences enriched and made Mills’ life interesting and fulfilling. At home or away from home, those who seek will find others who can make life so much better for them.
“Every man is worth your while if you but know him well. It’s in the simple things we find joy. Read and enjoy,” says the author.
123 pages in length, Jams Jems is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the self-help category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, Jams Jems meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $13.95.
Additionally, Jams Jems can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press Direct bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/bookstore.

About the author:
“Retirement is only a word,” says Jo Ann Mills, wife, mother, grandmother, author, and lecturer. When she retired from public education, she began writing. The author of nine published books, with two others presently being processed for publication, she still finds time to write two articles a year for Christian Woman Magazine, and she actively researches both past and present problems and interest in order to stay abreast of the world of information.
Jo Ann was born and raised in DeRidder, Louisiana. She has Bachelor’s and Master’s +30 degrees from McNeese State University and did additional graduate work through Louisiana State University, East Texas State University and Northwestern State University. Jo Ann and her husband, Bob, have been married fifty-six years, have two sons and three grandsons. Bob humorously says of Jo Ann, “I know her elevator goes up 132 floors, but I Never know on which floor she has gotten off! And this keeps life interesting!” They worked together in the mission field with National Evangelism With Sojourners for eighteen years. Her writing time has been squeezed in between speaking engagements, sojourning, and grandmothering.
