Free Community Health Fair in Santa Maria

Santa Maria, CA, November 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Life Steps Foundation-Santa Maria Wisdom Center would like to invite the residents and community members of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties to take advantage of a free community health and resource fair on Saturday, November 6, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 1414 N. Broadway, Santa Maria.

Residents can take advantage of a variety of free resources including nursing services, physical, occupational and speech therapy, social work services and social and recreational activities.

Life Steps Foundation and more than a dozen agencies are hosting the fair to educate residents of the free resources available to them. Participants include:

NuSkin, anti-aging products
Senior Living Consultants, independent, assisted, or Alzheimer’s care
Costco Hearing Aid Center, hearing aid technology
Community Partners in Caring, volunteer support services to allow seniors to live independently, while maintaining dignity, respect and quality of life
Transitions Mental Health Partners in Hope Eye Clinic, mental health services
Dementia Care Associates, dementia and senior living development/research
Alliance for Pharmaceutical Access APA, Inc, Patient assistance programs, follow-up calls, RX refills and appeals process
Others include Abiola Organic Health Food Store, Maxim, podiatrists specialists and the Life Steps Foundation Adult Day Health Care, BestCare, Home Instead and Shepard Eye Clinic
