Workshop/Training: Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma

John Stump, LMFT, Ian Newlin, LMFT and Amanda Peterman, LMFT will be conducting a free training on Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma.

Kansas City, KS, November 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Free Workshop/Training: Many children in foster or kinship care have a history of exposure to trauma. Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma: A Workshop for Resource Parents is a training designed to help resource parents understand the link between trauma and their children's often baffling behavior, feelings, and attitudes. It gives resource parents practical tools to help their children move forward from their traumatic pasts, to recognize and reduce the impact of their children's traumas on themselves, and to seek useful support from others.

This training is appropriate for foster parents, adoptive parents, teachers, caregivers, Social Workers, Therapists, Psychologists, etc. and anyone working with children and adolescents who may have been impacted by a traumatic event(s).
