Law Professor & TV Personality, Dr. Leigh-Davis, Plans to Present Artwork in Buckinghamshire
Mike at Creative Endeavors, a management company, announced last week, "Dr. Leigh-Davis’ creativity apparently has no end." "Art has always been one of my hobbies," said Dr. Leigh-Davis. However, now she is painting professionally.
Beverly Hills, CA, November 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Most people recognize Dr. Leigh-Davis as a television legal analyst and television legal commentator. However, she is also a fulltime law professor, and a successful writer. Now, Dr. Leigh-Davis is adding artist to her curriculum vitae.
Dr. Leigh-Davis plans to donate one of her paintings, a tribute to the stories of Roald Dahl. She is donating her painting in an effort to raise money for the worldwide battle to end illiteracy. Dr. Leigh-Davis is planning to be present for a formal donation ceremony in the United Kingdom, which is tentatively planned at the Roald Dahl Museum in Buckinghamshire, England. “Most people do not realize, when I was the editor-in-chief of Malibu Magazine, I routinely completed the graphic arts, and quite often designed the cover,” elaborated Dr. Leigh-Davis from the set of the “Dr. Phil” television show, which she is appearing on with CNN’s Larry King, as a special guest.
When asked how she started painting, Dr. Leigh-Davis responded, “My mother introduced me to painting shortly after I started walking. I do not remember the details, but I have seen photographs, and I had a very little, child’s easel. I am not sure where my mother found such a small easel!” Although painting is an integral part of Dr. Leigh-Davis’ artwork, Dr. Leigh-Davis describes her art as, "pop art and graphic art, (not risqué art, but rather, the art of printmaking and drawing à la Andy Warhol.)” It is apropos; Dr. Leigh-Davis uses Andy Warhol to point out commonality. Recently, she just took over as editor-in-chief of “Confidence Magazine,” which is under new ownership. Andy Warhol was the founder and publisher of “Interview Magazine.” “Confidence Magazine” is in the process of opening permanent offices in London, in addition to its Los Angeles, California base.
Dr. Leigh-Davis is currently host of the television show “Los Angeles Philanthropic Endeavors;” the radio show “The Real Deal;” and she has a television talk show in development. Find out more at Dr. Leigh-Davis’ official website.
