Wine & Music Festival “Tribute to The Eighties” Nov. 13

Dover, DE, November 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Tickets are still available for the Ninth Annual Wine & Music Festival on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 3 to 10 p.m. in the Rollins Center of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. This year’s event will highlight the ‘80s with entertainment by tribute performances of pop icons like Madonna, Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson and others. Guests are encouraged to dress in theme for the crazy ‘80s. There will be a cash prize for best costume.

Wines from around the world will be available for tasting, judging and purchasing. Numerous food stations will set up, along with sign ups for wine seminars and lessons on wine making; held in nearby breakout rooms.

General admission is $25 and includes a commemorative wine glass, wine samples, participation in all festivities, and a wine and gift marketplace. Tickets may be purchased in advance at doverdowns.com through Nov. 11. Walk ups are welcome at will call on the day of the event.

A special, $40 VIP ticket includes the above, plus reserved seating and a four-course meal consisting of:

Appetizer – Napoleon of tempura-crusted eggplant with red onion relish topped with crème fresh.
Salad – Wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with Roquefort cheese, bacon, and roasted pine nuts, served with creamy Roquefort dressing.
Entrée – Mini tenderloin of Beef Wellington with black truffle demi-glace, potato leek latkes with caviar sour cream, and grilled mini vegetables.
Dessert – Trio of Snapple-infused gelato to include green tea, mango, and Asian pear.
