Yats Wine Experience is a public wine tasting, no sponsorships of wine salesmen, participants purchase ticket to enjoy good wine & congenial company of Manila wine enthusiasts. Thursday 18 November, Yats Wine Cellars features exciting red wines of Italy.
Makati, Philippines, November 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Public wine tastings are becoming a regular item on things to do in Manila Philippines.
Yats Wine Experience is a public wine appreciation event. Because there are no sponsors, participants are never exposed to pushy wine salesmen or subjected to long sales pitches and speeches. Every event has a different theme designed to highlight a certain aspect in wine appreciation.
For this event, participants will re-visit some classic red wines of Italy. Fine vintage wines are being discovered much to the (pleasant) surprise of the more adventurous wine enthusiasts who took the trouble to seek out new and exciting wine regions within the geographical areas commonly referred to as “the old world.” For this particular Yats Wine Experience session, guests will taste and compare five major styles of red wine from Italy:
Barbera – Arguably the most (food) versatile wine of Italy;
Dolcetto – good reasons for why it is literally called the “sweet one”;
Nebbillo – responsible for the “king of wines and the wine of kings”;
Chianti – an internal classic, a benchmark for terroir;
Morellino – a connoisseur’s choice for wines from Tuscany;
Ticket Price is p1,500 at the gate but if purchased in advance from any wine shops and outlets of Yats Wine Cellars, the advanced booking price of p1,100 applies.

Yats Wine Cellars regularly hold non-commercial wine tasting to help wine enthusiasts expand their knowledge of wine in a most enjoyable and affordable way. These tastings are different from other commercial tastings. The wines from these tastings are not sponsored by a wine merchant and there are no salesmen. Wine lovers are in the company of people from all ages and all walks with one common interest – wine.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at a discount. Each ticket comes with five tasting stubs. The wines are lined up at a wine service station. Present a ticket at this station to surrender the stubs to redeem a tasting pours (roughly 55-60ml per pour) of five wines on the line-up.
Someone will always be available to answer questions or discuss topics pertinent to the theme of the wines in the event. Otherwise the event is a self-paced tasting exercise that is the most structured and economical way to sample interesting wines.
