2010 Generations Award Winners Announced
The only International Competition for Excellence in Senior Marketing The Generations Award is an international competition for excellence in senior marketing that is designed for professionals who have communicated to the 50-plus mature market in one of 64 categories.
Colorado Springs, CO, November 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As the mature population experiences explosive growth worldwide due to increased longevity, the demand for products and services supporting their unique care does too. According to the Oxford Institute of Ageing, Asia and Europe are the two regions where within the next two decades; much of the continent faces a situation where the largest population will be those over 65. In the U.S., projections that 78 million baby boomers will turn 65 within the next decade further substantiates the demand for targeted communications to serve the 50+ Mature Market.
The Generations Award is judged by an experienced group of industry professionals. The panel consists of marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media and online professionals. Winners are placed in two categories, Platinum and Gold. On a scale of 1 – 100, Platinum winners received scores of 90 – 100 and Gold winners received scores of 80 – 89. Entries are judged independently of each other using four 25 point sections in which overall design, content, effectiveness in communicating to the Mature Market and overall excellence is evaluated. The individual panelists’ scores for each entry are totaled and averaged. Special Recognition was awarded to entries whose overall score average was below the Gold level but was selected by judges for contribution to the market.
