Business Leader Media Launches New Publication

Raleigh, NC, January 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Business Leader Media has announced it will launch Women in the Triangle, a quarterly magazine that will debut in March 2007 and feature issues of relevance to the region’s female professionals and working women. It will be the first subscription-based women’s business publication in the Triangle and will collaborate with Business Leader’s Women Extraordinaire, who will serve as advisers and guest publishers.

Former Women Extraordinaire serving as guest publishers for 2007 are:

· Christine Young, area vice president, First Citizens Bank (March)
· Linda Leake, president, execUchange (June)
· Erika Mangrum, owner, Iatria Day Spa (September)

Women Extraordinaire is an annual awards gala hosted by Business Leader since 2002. The award honors women in the Triangle for their business, personal and philanthropic achievements. In 2006, the 10 honorees were chosen from more than 240 nominations.

Women in the Triangle, or WIT, is designed to highlight the successes and challenges of working women in the region, with a focus on balancing work and personal life, as well as health and fitness, networking opportunities, travel, entertainment, and business and personal achievements.

Danielle Jackson, editor of Business Leader and The Park Guide, also will serve as editor of Women in the Triangle. She has extensive publishing experience, including launching Women Incorporated, a monthly magazine, in the Quad-City marketplace in 2001.
