Legendary Surf Photographer Leaves Life’s Gift
Legendary photographer Warren Bolster (1947-2006) who pioneered surf photography for 30 years with 600+ covers and hundreds of articles in Surfer, Surfing, Sports Illustrated, National Geographic & the Wall Street Journal left a very limited Collection of his favorite images. "The Boster collection is my gift and my life." This collection will be shown for the first time at an open premiere in San Diego on January 25th 2007. The event will be at the Michael Weis Gallery on 5th Ave from 6-10pm.

“I've been a "so-called" professional for over 33 years, something I have had time to enjoy and reflect on for the past few years as I have been compiling a collection of my life’s work. At nearly 60 years old, this will probably be my last effort. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I've obtained and for the life I have led. I always wanted to contribute the greatest gift I could to the ocean I loved so deeply. This collection is my gift and my life.”

The Bolster Collection represents Warren’s favorite and best images spanning his 33 year career, from historically significant people and events, to a spectacular collection of empty waves, his camera board stuff and some over under water shots. The Bolster Collection was completed in August of 2006 just weeks before his unfortunate passing.
This collection will be shown for the first time at an open premiere in San Diego on January 25th 2007. The event has been scheduled to coincide with the first evening of the Action Sports Retail show, and will run from 6 to 10pm.
For all those interested in viewing or owning a piece of surfing history, do not miss this event. The collection is extremely limited and will sell out.
