Green Government Podcast Features Federal Fleet Project Leader Previewing Session at GOVgreen Conference and Exposition
CEIL’s podcast series discusses GOVgreen’s transportation session
Alexandria, VA, November 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CEIL’s Green Government Podcast series this week features GOVgreen Conference and Exposition speakers previewing their educational sessions scheduled for next week’s GOVgreen Conference and Exposition. Today’s podcast features Ryan Daley, Federal Fleet Project Leader, Sustainable Fuels & Vehicles Group, NREL, Department of Energy.
"The federal government has an extremely large fleet of about 600,000 vehicles in the domestic fleet. That represents many millions of gallons of gasoline and diesel each year," says Daley.
Daley will present next week during the session “Transporting People and Goods Sustainably.” He will be joined by

-Samuel Pulcrano, Vice President, Sustainability, U.S. Postal Service.
The session - part of GOVgreen’s Transportation track on Tuesday, November 9 - covers federal strategies for improving sustainability in transportation, including fleet management programs and policies, identification and procurements of alternative vehicles and fuels, and maintenance issues.
The GOVgreen Conference and Exposition - November 9th and 10th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center - includes 30 educational sessions and an exhibit floor of 100 companies all focused on providing information and solutions to greening the federal government. GOVgreen is open to all but free to government and military professionals.
