Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast presented by Night&Day Entertainment Guide, takes place Saturday, Nov. 6. More than 1,000 cyclists will take part in the event. Oceanside, CA, November 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- A unique cycling event/food and entertainment festival geared to all ages and abilities takes place Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Oceanside Pier.
Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast presented by Night&Day Entertainment Guide, takes place Saturday, Nov. 6. More than 1,000 cyclists will take part in the event which offers participants the choice of four different courses (7, 15, 25 or 50-mile rides) starting and finishing with food, fun and music at the Oceanside Pier. The courses include the San Luis Rey Bike Trail and San Diego’s North County beaches of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar.
Meanwhile, The “Taste” element of the event – open to the public – will feature great food, music, exhibitor booths and a beer garden on the beach from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. under the pier.
Proceeds from the ride support the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition -- www.sdcbc.org -- a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to making bicycling better in greater San Diego.
Highlights: Photo Ops:
1. The 50-mile event will begin just after 7:00 a.m. (sunrise).
2. The celebrity event (featuring Lauryn Moses, Miss Oceanside 2010, legendary cyclist Pete Penseyres and others) is set for just after 8:00 a.m.
3. The “Taste the Coast” expo runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
