DFW AMA’S Marketing Jam – A Resounding Success
The DFW AMA hosted its first Marketing Jam conference in Dallas at the House of Blues with more than 100 attendees, seven roundtables and guest speaker, John Sabel of Walt Disney Studios.
Dallas, TX, November 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On Wednesday, Oct. 27, the Dallas Fort Worth American Marketing Association (DFW AMA) hosted its first-ever marketing conference, Marketing Jam, at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas.
The event proved to be a success with more than 100 marketing professionals in attendance. The event also included seven industry-specific roundtable sessions facilitated by local marketing experts covering digital marketing, social media, mobile marketing, events, public relations and more. The evening concluded with John Sabel, Executive Vice President of Motion Picture Creative Print Marketing for Walt Disney Studios, sharing his extensive portfolio and speaking about his experience and promotion of Disney movies nationwide.
“For the DFW AMA’s first Marketing Jam, it seemed a great success – lots of great learning, sharing and networking at a great venue. As a mom of three little ones, I loved hearing from John Sabel about his marketing of the Toy Story 3 movie earlier this year,” Michelle Metzger of Pierpont Communications remarked. Metzger also hosted the PR in 2010: Don’t Take a Knife to a Gun Fight! roundtable session.
Attendee and DFW AMA member Fay Fleming said, “Attending Marketing Jam was like walking into a buffet bar of brilliance. There were so many different topics that you could get a “deep dive” into from a different array of marketing professionals.”
Marketing Jam is the DFW AMA’s signature event. It is comprised of six hours of intense educational, networking and learning opportunities. With the support of sponsors, volunteers and industry experts this year’s event paved the way for future conferences.
